Matt Jenkins

Hello! My name is Matt Jenkins. I am a recent graduate from the University of Northern Colorado. I received my bachelors degree in  Journalism and Media studies as well as Leadership studies. I started my journey at UNC as a music education major then decided that was not for me. I first fell in love with journalism when I was a sophomore in high school. At UNC, I was the sports manager and anchor for Bear News, the on campus news source. I ran assignment meetings as well as give deadlines to my classmates. In high school, I was on a national award winning yearbook staff. My senior year in high school, I was a group leader who designed pages for the book as well as takes photos and interviews. At the end of the school year, I accepted a few different All Colorado awards including a First Place Sports action/reaction photo. Some of my hobbies include playing basketball, being outdoors, spending time with my friends, and most importantly being with my family.
